Casting on stitches with circular needles

Step by step

    Cast on stitches onto the needles using the same method as with straight needles.

    Make sure the stitches are well placed and aligned in front of you.

    If you have circular needles with a very long cable, split the stitches in half for easier handling. This is called the magic loop.

    Once you have all the stitches cast on, place a stitch marker on the right needle to indicate the beginning of the round.

    To close the circle, simply start knitting with the stitch indicated by the pattern.

    At the end of each round, move the stitch marker from one needle to the other and continue knitting.
